Why we started
Web hosting lost its way.
Somewhere along the line, the biggest names in hosting stopped competing on service and started competing on sleight of hand. A $2.99 price that takes four years of prepayment. A renewal bill three to six times higher. Security, backups and SSL sold back to you one add-on at a time. Support queues that route you overseas and back.
Many of the independent hosts that did it right were bought up and folded into the same conglomerates. Some, like the much-loved A Small Orange, aren’t taking new customers at all.
So we built something different. A modern hosting platform, engineered from the ground up for speed and isolation, run on U.S. data centers, backed by U.S.-based support, and sold at one honest price.
